Be A Volunteer

Join The Mission. Be A Volunteer

You can make a vital contribution to our efforts by becoming a volunteer. The service provided by volunteers helps us to extend our expertise to the community at large and also provides us vital assistance in program administration and with the delivery of rehabilitation services. A volunteer’s work may involve reading, writing, teaching Braille, typing or scanning printed material for conversion to Braille, translating educational materials in different languages, voice recording educational materials onto audio tapes and accompanying visually impaired persons on visits to museums and cultural programs, coordinating children’s play activities and helping organize events for the centre.

How Do I Become A Volunteer

Please contact if your interests and background match our needs, you will be invited to attend an orientation session. Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age. However, for some activities, volunteers are required to be at least 18 years old.
