Susrut Eye Foundation & Research Centre takes its name seriously. Sushruta's surgical treatise, written over two and a half millennia ago, contains the earliest known description of cataract surgery — performed with a curved needle, precision, and an understanding of the eye that took the rest of the world another thousand years to catch up to.
We built this centre on that same instinct: treat the eye as the most exact structure in the human body, and give it surgeons, instruments, and research that respect that exactness.
