I am Dr. Fariha Tahsin. I have done my fellowship in Cornea and Cataract from Susrut Eye Foundation and Research Centre under the guidance of Dr. Sayan Das. Opting for this fellowship has proved to be the best decision and the most important landmark of my life. I will always be indebted to this institution. The working environment, hands-on exposure, and support of all the consultants during training at Susrut Eye Foundation is unmatched. Hello, I am Dr. Sagnik Surya Das, currently working as a Consultant in Cornea and Cataract services at Susrut Eye Foundation and Research Centre, Kolkata. I completed my MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal and my Post-graduation in Ophthalmology (M.S) from Chennai, after which I did not know where to go. I was just starting out as a surgeon and I had so much to learn. Since Kolkata was my hometown, so I decided to come back here and completed my Fellowship in Cornea, Cataract and Anterior Segment surgery under the guidance of Dr. Sayan Das and Dr. Hari Shanker Nag at Susrut. It was amazing how much I learnt from them and I still get inspired by them each and everyday. We young doctors are given adequate clinical exposure and taught to handle all types of challenging surgical cases. Susrut has state of the art infrastructure and latest equipment and adequate patient exposure as a teaching hospital. It can be rightly said that Susrut Eye Foundation and Research Centre has one of the best fellowship programmes in the country in terms of surgical hands-on training.
